Future Projects
Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
“If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it.”
Hadith 479
Our dedicated team of student helpers are committed to uphold the islah and da’wah legacy that Ustaz Zhulkeflee have instilled in us. We believe that his approach and the resources that he has built tirelessly in his lifetime are gems worth sharing to the ummah. The effort involved us to pull together essential elements like 19 2hr-audio recordings (which was transcribed), Powerpoint slides that our teacher typed with one finger as a result of his ailment, his blogs, relevant publications and transformed them into a coherent whole in the form of a website and an online course. Alhamdulillah.
This whole endeavour demanded substantial time and effort, with some tasks going beyond our expertise and this requires the need for us to fund, on our own, the necessary efforts. This has been the case for the past six to seven years. Nevertheless, our motivation remains steadfast as we strive to honour both our late teacher as well as to serve the ummah as how he did in his lifetime.
We have intentions to continue the work with future projects – our late teacher has many other gems that is worth unpacking and re-packaging for the community’s learning needs. We will list these gems as ideas on this page as we go along. To realise these ideas, we need your support. Please contact us on the social links provided to follow up with us. May Allah SWT perpetually bless you in goodness for the support. Aamiin.
Ongoing Projects
The first edition of the BCI textbook (see: “From Ustaz’s Desk“) is out of stock.
It was one of the intentions of Ustaz to reproduce and update the textbook to the current curriculum conducted (Featured Course).
We intend to fulfill this intention, insyaAllah, but will require the means and capacity to do it, as well as if there is a demand to meet.
Let us know if you are interested in having a copy, and would like to support us!
We intend to posthumously publish another work of Ustaz’s with regard to his intermediate course, “Introduction to the Study of ‘Ilm Akhlaq (ITA)”.
Those who have attended this course would be aware of the poignant story that was presented as an opening segment of the module.
Similar to what was done for the Tree Booklet (see: “From Ustaz’s Desk, Al-Shajarah“), Ustaz had intended the story to be published for the students as an accompaniment booklet to the ITA course.
We intend to proceed with the intention and developed the book further into a full manual.
It is currently a work in progress, insyaAllah due for publication in late 2024/early 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
One of the things Ustaz loved to present in his classes were parables as he felt that these ‘stories’ would help his students to have a better understanding of the subject matter.
He had a lot of parables and amongst them, The Parable of a Good Tree, has been published (see: “From Ustaz’s Desk, Al-Shajarah“).
We have received requests from students to compile his other parables as they have found it beneficial and impactful. Some of them include; “Parable of the Circle”, “Parable of the Traveller”; “Parable of the Mirror”; and “Parable of Aladdin’s Lamp”.
Thus we intend to publish these parables as well as his translations of the Malay pantun (poem) in one booklet.
Also a work in progress; stay tuned for updates.
We may produce similar online modules to BCI of the other courses found under Learning Cove should we receive favourable responses and interest. However, this is also only made possible if we have the means and capacity to do so in the future. Hence if you feel it is a good idea and would like to support us, please reach out to us and let us know!
